Monday through Friday, Bean and I wake up early to an empty house. Captain Snacker leaves for work SUPER early, so this leaves me to get Bean ready and out the door. Our morning consists of milk, Cheerios for distraction, lots of screaming and crying while I try to clothe her and my hair half done. Let me just say that, I am NOT complaining, I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE being a Mama and I am so grateful and thankful for a job in these economic times. It is just quite a change from the self-absorbed life I used to lead.
For the past few weeks, Bean has decided to be extra 'sassy' in the morning so I end up giving her my Great-Value, imitation Special K bar to hold for the car ride over to my Mom's house. Normally she squishes it all up for me so I have to eat it like actual cereal, but lately my big girl has realized that she can open it and eat it herself. She has eaten my breakfast since Monday and I have found myself feeling impressed with her and not one bit hungry myself.
This feeling reminded me of this quote. I thought I would share this printable with you. Ahhhh....the things we Mothers give up...I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
